Stratagies
- Read as much about Route 66 before you leave.
- Before each days travel, refresh your memory about sites you will see.
- Jot notes on your map of what you saw, ate, photographed and the people that you met. You'll be glad you did months or years after the trip.
Interesting places to see
- Visit Abraham Linclon's home in Springfield, IL.

- The El Rancho Hotel and Motel in Gallup, NM is a step back in time.
- Drive into the Grand Canyon all the way to the Colorado River through the Hualapai Nation (3 hour round trip). Travel permits, $10.00/person, must be obtained at the travel office at the new motel, Peach Springs, AZ.
